Everything has an inside story. Yours included.
Inside Story keeps the whole of a person’s life in one place: what you eat and how your body answers, your medicines, your days, the people you look after, your money and your garden. Then it does the hard part for you. It connects the pieces, finds what your records are saying, and turns it into plain next steps.
It began with food and autoimmune health, and that is where it goes deepest. It has grown into a place for everything a person needs to keep track of, and you do not need a diagnosis to use it.
Who it is for
Find yourself below. Each one opens the part of the page written for you.
Food, worked out for your body
Food advice is written for everybody. You are one person. Inside Story learns from what you log and shows you what is true for you.
It knows your conditions
- Choose the conditions you live with, one or several, and every food you look up is scored and explained for them. Celiac and gout together? It weighs both at once.
- Hundreds of recipes, each marked with what it means for your conditions, and a meal plan of up to six weeks built around them, with the shopping list made for you.
- For conditions that heal in stages, the foods suited to where you are now come first. Nothing is hidden; everything is explained.
It finds your patterns
- Log meals, symptoms, flares, sleep, mood and labs. Pattern Finder lists the foods that tend to come before your flares, says how often it has seen it, and compares that with an ordinary day so chance does not fool you.
- Suspect a food? The app runs a leave-it-out-then-bring-it-back test with you and shows before, without and after side by side.
- Trends lays your sleep, weight, steps, labs and intake out over time, shows your usual range, and can set the weather beside your symptoms.
- Turn anything you discover into a rule of your own, and the app keeps it in mind from then on.
It gets your nutrients from food first
- Fuel gauges show where you stand on every nutrient today, and say how much came from food and how much from a supplement.
- Your medicines and supplements sit on the same clock as your meals. Take levothyroxine too close to a calcium-rich breakfast and it tells you, with how far apart they are.
- Turn it on, and FDA recalls are checked against your medicines and the products you scan.
Logging takes seconds
- Repeat a usual meal with one tap, scan a barcode, say it out loud, or photograph the label. Eating out? Read the menu in, or log it with a stand-in.
- Builders for salads, smoothies, ferments and more show you a meal’s full picture before you save it.
Ready for your doctor
- Eight reports, made on your phone as a PDF: for your doctor, nutritionist, trainer or caregiver, a look back, your medical costs, and your garden.
- Every claim in the app says how strong the evidence behind it is. It never diagnoses and never tells you to change a prescription.
Conditions covered in depth: Hashimoto’s, Graves’ disease, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, PCOS, cardiovascular disease, fatty liver disease, migraine, gout, Sjögren’s syndrome and prostate health.
Your day, held for you
For many people, including many with ADHD or autism, and anyone recovering, grieving or simply carrying too much, the hardest part of a day is the hundred small things that have to be remembered. Inside Story holds them so your head does not have to. You can use it for this alone and never touch the food side.
- Routines you walk through one step at a time, morning, evening or anything in between.
- Did I Do It for the things you can never remember doing: the stove, the door, the pill. One tap, and it is recorded with the time.
- Reminders you can answer right from the notification: took it, skipped it, done.
- Where Did I Put It: tell it once, find it later with one search.
- Days Until counters for anything you are waiting on or working toward.
- Upkeep for the house, the car and everything else that needs doing every so often.
- Quick capture by typing or voice, sorted later when you have the room.
- Keeping Up shows what you got done over the weeks, kindly. No scores, no streaks to break, and a week you did not log is left blank, never counted as a failure.
A guided tour called Your Story walks you through the app at your pace, one part of life at a time.
For the people you look after
- Add family members and their conditions, and the meal plan works for everyone at the table.
- Share a shopping list with a partner, checked off from either phone. Pairing takes an invitation from inside the app, and only what you choose is shared.
- An emergency card with medicines, conditions and contacts, ready when someone needs it.
- A caregiver report that pulls together what another person needs to know.
A garden kept as a living record
Grow your own food and Inside Story becomes your garden journal, planner and teacher.
- Your beds drawn to scale with plantings placed, the seed packets on hand with how long each keeps, and germination tests.
- Care reminders for each crop, companion planting with the evidence behind it, and crop guides that fix problems from the soil up.
- Harvests, compost piles, indoor grow setups with their lights and electricity, readings from your weather station, and what the garden costs and gives back.
- Cook with what you grew and the app takes it off what the garden still has.
- It favours living soil, compost and the insects already working for you, and explains plainly why.
And the rest of life
- Finances, medical bills and what your health costs over time.
- Work, movement and exercise, with your phone’s activity data brought in.
- Your kitchen: what is in it and where it is.
- A library to read: every condition explained with its sources, plus health literacy and the food system.
- On your phone and on a Windows computer, kept in step through a folder you choose.
Your data stays yours
Your records live on your phone or computer. No company server holds your health information, and there is no account to create. To use two devices, you pick a folder in your OneDrive, and the copy kept there is encrypted with a password only you know.
When the app looks something up, such as the weather or the FDA recall list, it asks for the public information and does the matching on your device. Nothing about you goes with the request.
